Vueling launches the Shannon-Paris – Business Traveler service

Vueling has launched flights from Shannon Airport in the west of Ireland to Paris Orly.

The low-cost carrier’s twice-weekly service, with a flight duration of two hours, operates on Mondays and Fridays.

The inaugural flight took off on September 12, with the first passengers treated to freshly baked crepes and a Parisian-themed cake at the boarding area dressed in blue, white and red.

Charlotte Dumesnil, Commercial Director of Vueling, said:

“We are delighted to expand our Irish operations with our first route from Shannon to Paris Orly, building on our existing Irish routes while providing inbound passengers easy access to the west coast of Ireland. This new direct route reinforces Vueling’s interest in offering a more flexible and varied offer to travelers based in Ireland.

Minister of State for Transport, Hildegarde Naughton TD, said:

“I am delighted to be here today at Shannon Airport for Vueling’s inaugural flight from Shannon. A connection to Paris Orly not only provides significant opportunities for residents of this region, but also for inbound traffic from Paris, further enhancing tourist connections between Mid-West Ireland and Paris.

The airline recently announced plans to launch three new winter routes from Gatwick from December.
