An architectural firm expands its mandate after creating its own urban planning consulting service.
Truro-based CAD Architects has recruited Laura Potts to lead the service for new and existing clients. A registered planner, Laura brings over 19 years of experience to her new role.
Mark Dawes, Managing Director of CAD Architects, said: “The practice has continued to grow and we have built a very talented team capable of handling a wide range of projects.
“With the growing importance and complexity of planning issues, we have taken the bold step of establishing our own planning consultancy so that we can offer our clients the best advice on these matters.

to welcome Laura into the company.
Laura’s previous role was that of Senior Development Officer with Cornwall Council. She is a graduate in architecture and a member of the Royal Institute of Urban Planning.
His work has given him a very deep understanding of the challenges of planning in the region.
Laura said: “It is a very exciting time to join CAD Architects as he continues to win a number of new high profile commissions. I look forward to using my skills and experience to advise the team and their clients. My goal is to provide the best planning results for our clients so that I can help the business continue to grow and develop. »
