LG Electronics and KT on Wednesday agreed to co-develop robot service businesses.
Through the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on that day, the companies plan to pursue new business opportunities in the robot manufacturing and service sectors and establish a cooperation system to develop new robots. generation. LG Electronics will offer its robot manufacturing technology, while KT will support robot service operations.
LG Electronics has conducted testing operations of its CLOi robots in various locations for multiple purposes, starting with the testing of its guide robots at Incheon International Airport in 2017.
The electronics manufacturer offers seven types of robots in its CLOi range of robots, including ServeBot for service and CarryBot for logistics.
The electronics maker signed a memorandum of understanding with CJ Logistics in June to provide automated carrier robots to its warehouse and set up a logistics robot system.
KT will support LG’s CLOi robotic products to reach more customers and work with the company to co-develop new robots.
