The company signed a S $ 50 million contract for its launch at Perennial Business City.
Keppel Infrastructure has signed a $ 50 million contract with Perennial Holdings Private Limited to deploy Singapore’s first sustainable energy-as-a-service concept at Perennial Business City.
Part of the concept is the installation and operation of cooling systems which should improve the energy efficiency of Perennial Business City since cooling accounts for up to 50% of a building’s electrical load.
More than 1,8000 photovoltaic solar panels will also be installed on the roof of the Perennial Business City, which will generate more than 1,200 MWh per year and supply 300 four-room apartments.
With the introduction of the concept, Perennial Business City is set to become the first ultra-low energy sustainable building operating with renewable energies in the Jurong Lake District.
The park, which measures more than one million million square feet of total net leasable area, is also expected to reduce the total energy use of its buildings by more than 40%.
To embrace green transportation, Keppel Infrastructure will install 20 smart charging stations for electric vehicles in the park, the largest ever installed in a single business park in Singapore.
