Mumbai, September 13, 2021 – ŠKODA AUTO India has announced a unique initiative – the “ŠKODA COMPACT Workshops”, which aims to improve the customer service experience. Thanks to this, the brand will open 30 new compact workshops across the country by the end of this year.
The concept of compact workshops aims to expand the service contact points, in line with the customer-centric strategy of ŠKODA AUTO India. In the future, all sales branches located in non-metro locations will have a compact workshop, which will have a minimum service facility of two bays.

With the launch of KUSHAQ, there is substantial growth in our volumes and despite the difficult environment, we have managed to have a really successful launch. We have already launched several initiatives on this front, and I am happy to announce the start of ‘ŠKODA Compact Workshops’. Our goal is to meet the growing customer base and ensure that customers have a seamless experience with the ŠKODA brand.“
To ensure a satisfactory customer experience and standardize quality, all “ŠKODA compact workshops” will be connected to the main dealer facilities. ŠKODA AUTO India will also start operations in certain new markets with this service concept first of “ŠKODA compact workshops”. These will respond to existing customers and instill confidence in potential customers in new and emerging markets.
ŠKODA Compact ‘workshops will be able to provide periodic maintenance services and general repairs. Some of the maintenance capabilities include inspection services, replacement of coolant, brake oil, ATF, and replacement of the brake disc or pads. Customers can also benefit from other minor repairs, including replacement of bulbs, wiper blades, car details and fitting of accessories, among others, which do not require specialized tools. ŠKODA AUTO India has increased its presence in its network by almost 25% with the launch of KUSHAQ. This was made possible by a focused effort on network expansion, which was an important part of KUSHAQ’s launch strategy. The brand is now present in more than 100 cities across India, with more than 170 customer touch points, including sales and after-sales facilities.
